Wacom Intuos 4

Hi people, I'd love to share a good news tooday!
I just got a Wacom Intuos 4 from my boyfriend and friends as a birthday gift and I am loving every single bit of it. It was kinda a big deal for me cause I've wanted one for a really long time and I'm finally getting the latest one as well as learning photoshop painting. I'm actually thinking of opening a deviantart account, just to share my not-so-excellent-yet works and probably trying to get some comments on improvement as well. But for now, ill focus on getting my assignments done. I'll be posting my deviantart account up as soon as im done catching up with school work! Till then, ill have fun with my new wacom tablet (:

Painting for the week

Spidey-man

This week's been pretty much hectic (as usual) trying to hone my photoshop paintings for a group project and some sketching in classes. Besides worrying how I'll be able to catch up with my other soon-to-be-due assignments, I was pretty satisfied with my very first portrait painting in class. It was kinda a random sketch in the beginning but i thought i'd do something a little more interesting after I got the flow going.

Interior Design for a game

And this is the interior design I've been working on for a few days to get it out. The interiors were build in 3d and the painted in photoshop. This interior was also to match the previous 2 characters that I posted a week ago.

Arctic

Painting an environment from scratch in Photoshop was never an easy task but i was lucky enough to have bert-chan teach me. Really happy with the results for a first time but I seem more eager to do better now. Photoshop is making me fall in love, but I gotta catch up with my 3d too! Yikes!

Props Redesign

This semester's core module was working on a game, and true enough the character design wasn't exactly easy for me. Not to mention missing out on one week of school really drains me out. I was a photoshop beginner and I am still learning the basics from my friends and classes, but its really getting me into it! These are some of the prop sheets that I re-colored and redesigned. The lady was drawn by my group member in the earlier development.

The Big 21st

Wild Wild Wet with my darlings and catching up after dinner at Sushi

First and foremost, thanks everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the heartfelt wishes on my birthday. Although this 21st was not planned, i felt special to the ones who cared. There were a lot of mini celebrations going on here and there despite my busy schedule and i thank those who made the time and effort for my birthday. Managed to organise some of the photos (but not all) and i would like to share them here! (:

Day out with the loves on Saturday really made me happy after the overloaded assignments from school. A short weekend break with my favourite people are always the best!

Baby's super sweet to get me my 99 + 1 balloons which i originally wanted but hey, what's sweeter than a surprise from your boyfriend :) teehee

Went for manicure with baby, we managed to slack the entire day which prepared us for the big korean dinner at Dempsey Hill (not to mention my legs were worn out walking that hill :x)

I miss my spa and my retail therapy.

Anyways, a few more dinners coming by this weekend to sum up my birthday this year. I've had more angbaos, presents and celebrations which are not posted here yet which ill probably have no time to organise... but, ill try! And uhh, i'll be updating some of the work ive been mugging in school lately. So stay tune! :)

Skincare and beauty

Lately, ive been reading about makeup and beauty just for the interest during my spare time. And, I have to say i've learnt quite a bit thanks to Karen and MUA (makeup artists) on forums. The spray tan kinda sparked my interest yesterday when i saw the video but let's move on to the makeup first!

Bought this brush here, and i have to say it's really worth the reviews.

Bought a few foundations and concealers, color correction to try out and recieved a few free try-outs as well. I paid $17.50 for 7items and a multi-tasking brush, waited for less than 2wks to arrive from overseas. I will definitely recommend these and take another order soon!

I'm really into eyeliners but sometimes eyeshadows shows the colors in your face, so i bought this wonderful 88 palette eyeshadow from a blog, which is very similar to Coastal Scents (which i originally wanted to order from). I didn't had the chance to try it out yet but I'm pretty sure this purchase made my day (:

Many thanks to Karen who recommended me the MUA forums and taught me a few stuffs, she passed me some sephora color palettes too. I am really excited to try them out!

Zen Habits

Ever thought of responding to your anxiety when a dateline is near, by transforming your anxiety to inspiration?

I'm getting more nervous when school starts, more anxious on my assignments and sometimes losing my inspirations by just wasting my time procrastinating or freezing time. It really helps to just plan with minimalism and focus on one or two things in a day, learning how to enjoy the process. So, if anyone is struggling like me too, read this (:

Days before school opening

Holidays was just ending for me during the end of August and retail therapy at Ion really helps. I've been falling in love with Ion's takiyaki ever since.

A trip to the MINT toy museum with baby definitely soothed my anxiety and made my day.

PrisonerOfMySchoolWork.

Okie, im back. So long never blog, cuz i have nothing to blog about. Very sian and lazy to upload pictures and stuffs. Been busy working in workshop and doing projects. Dam tired for almost everyday. Work is killing me. How i wish this term will soon end. But so wad even if it end? i only have 1week holiday. Pathetic can?

A *look like coffin* ring i made for my project. Not finish yet. half done. =) still need to sand and polish a little here and there.

Trying to make a dome using dye forming technique. Need to cut out the shape u want in a piece of wood, attached the piece of metal u want to use and hammer it. Not fun at all, very sian. i did 2times for the wood cuz i broke the previous one. Hammer untill my hand very pain, i hammer my own hand also! =.=`` but its okie, im always re-doing like 2 to 3 times den can. Waste alot of time re-doing.

Finish doming le. silver and brass. need to cut out, but i need to let my lecturer check if its deep enuff. Spend half of my day knocking. Dam tired and dirty. I grow muscle liao.

Learning new software this term. 3D Max. This is the alien that i design for my first project. I name it OctoAlien. (Perspective View)
